Log River Ranch and Chama, NM have special places in our hearts, and we are so happy to be able to share it with others. Karlee has been in the wedding and event business for over 10 years. Prior to Log River Ranch, she worked in events at both a ranch and ski resort in Colorado. Starting Log River Ranch had always been a dream of hers. Having the opportunity to open up a barn wedding venue is a dream come true!

Not only is there the connection to Karlee’s family ranch, but we LOVE being outside. When we are not working, you’ll find us outdoors hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling, rock climbing, and fishing along the Rio Chama at the ranch. The Chama Valley has so much to explore with incredible scenery in every direction.

Karlee's Grandfather, Brit, purchased the property
1970's
Her grandfather, Brit, purchased the property then built the log home in the 1980s. Since the construction of the home, the property was primarily used as a vacation home for the family. Many of Karlee’s childhood memories are from times spent in Chama.
The barn was built many years later, in 2017. What spurred the decision to build the iconic barn? The family had been contemplating building a barn for the property, then when Austin & Karlee announced they were getting married, it sped up the process! October 14, 2017 was the first wedding to take place at the ranch, and what a hit it was! This then inspired Austin and Karlee to open up the barn wedding venue and ranch as a business. The first year of business was 2019 and it has continued to grow year after year. Thank you for joining us on this journey!
